Jenny Zhang and me

On one of our last few days in Paris there was a book talk at Shakespeare and Company that I wanted to go to. It was author, Jenny Zhang, and she was there to discuss her book, Sour Heart. I missed part of my group's dinner together, but it was amazing to hear her talk. I was second row (so close to her!), it was breezy, and I got to hear the bells of Notre Dame toll as she read a passage from her book. After the talk was over, she signed my book for me! The bookstore and this talk was my favorite part of my trip. My favorite thing Jenny said was "There is a sweetness in the bitter, sourness of life."
